• Compliance with Insurance Holding Company Laws
  

  Brief Synopsis: As a result of the financial crisis and growing concentration on systematic risk surrounding insurance companies and their affiliates, regulators have engaged in an effort to broaden their reach over U.S. insurance holding company groups. The states currently require strict compliance with laws related to holding company operations and transactions. Recently, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) amended its Insurance Holding Company Model Act and Model Regulation to expand regulator's reach over insurance holding company groups.

  What is needed to ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to insurance holding company operations and transactions, such as examinations, registration statements
