AICP Northwest Chapter Nominating Committee
Board of Officers Qualification Guidelines
The AICP Northwest Chapter Nominating Committee is responsible for the review and recommendation to the NW Chapter Board of Officers of candidates for the Board of Officers election slate. The Nominating Committee consists of the Past President, who serves as the Nominating Committee Chairperson, and volunteer members (preferably who have been active at the Chapter level) solicited and chosen by the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee. Any member of the Nominating Committee who chooses to run for a Board of Officers position during his/her tenure on the Nominating Committee will automatically relinquish his/her position on the Nominating Committee.
The Guidelines set forth are to be considered as ideal standards for candidates. The Guidelines offer the Nominating Committee a model by which potential nominees will be measured. Failure to meet any given guideline is not in and of itself grounds to disqualify a person as a candidate.
The Nominating Committee will consider each potential candidate using the Guidelines in conjunction with each individual's accomplishments, qualifications, and/or a combination of education and experience. Potential candidates for all positions shall be considered, keeping in mind the General Qualifications shown below. Candidates for each office shall be considered in relation to the duties and responsibilities for that office, as described more fully below.
