2011/2012 Election Cycle
Holding a leadership position in AICP on the National or Chapter level is recognition by your peers of your leadership skills, your value-added activities in the insurance compliance community, and your commitment to the AICP. Each year you have the opportunity to serve or to nominate a peer to serve on the National Board of Directors or on the Board of your regional Chapter. Your service and/or your nominations are important. Both contribute to the future of AICP and ensure its continued value to the industry we serve.
Each year our members are called upon to nominate and elect the following positions:
Executive Committee of the Board of Directors
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: The Vice President will serve for three years as Vice President, President and Past President.
Regional Directors of the Board of Directors
Regional Directors serve a two-year term. For the 2011/2012 year, the following Chapters will have open positions eligible for nomination and election:
- Heartland Chapter
- Mid-Atlantic Chapter
- New England Chapter
- South Central Chapter
Chapter Officers
Each Chapter maintains elected positions for Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President.
This year Chapters will have the following open positions:
Great Lakes Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Two year term as Vice President, 2 years as President, 2 years as Past President
Gulf States Chapter
- Secretary: Two year term
[Treasurer and VP have two-year terms and will be on the ballot in 2012.]
Heartland Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
Mid-Atlantic Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
Midwest Forum Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
- Treasurer : One Year term
New England Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Three year term as Vice President, President, Past President
- President: The President position will be on the ballot this year due to an unexpected vacancy
Northwest Chapter
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
[Treasurer and Secretary have two-year terms and will be on the ballot in 2012.]
South Central Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
Western Chapter
- Secretary: One year term
- Treasurer: One year term
- Vice President: Three year commitment — one year term each as Vice President, President, Past President
The AICP Board highly encourages you to consider getting involved in National leadership or your local Chapter leadership. It is a very rewarding and career enriching experience.
