Volunteering for a leadership position within the AICP is a great way to show and grow your leadership, organizational and motivational skills. It is also a sign of your dedication to the AICP and the insurance compliance community. Each year, members have the opportunity to serve or to nominate a peer to serve on the National Board of Directors or on the Board of your regional Chapter. Your service and/or your nominations are important as the AICP is an all-volunteer organization and we rely on YOU.
For this election period, the following positions are open for our members to nominate themselves, or a peer they feel who is capable of serving:
Open National positions:
Executive Committee of the Board of Directors
Open Regional Director Positions:
Regional Directors of the National Board of Directors serve a two-year term. For this election cycle, the following Chapters have open Regional Director positions eligible for nomination and election:
Open Chapter Positions:
Great Lakes Chapter
Gulf States Chapter
New England Chapter
South Central Chapter
We encourage our members to get involved. One of the ways is to run for a leadership role within the AICP, at either the National or Chapter level. It is a very rewarding and career enriching experience.
The "Call for Nominations" will be sent out on April 17, 2017. All submissions must be received by the Nominating Committee by June 23, 2017. More information on Nominating procedures for a position on the National Board can be found here: 2017 Letter of Support, Candidate Statement and Campaign Guidelines.
If you are interested in running and want to know more about any open positions, please feel free to contact anyone currently serving on the National Board or on a Chapter Board. You can access the current leadership contact information on the Leadership and Involvement pages or our website. We also encourage you to reach out to other AICP members who you may know. Sometimes, all it may take is a little encouragement and to be asked. Now you can consider yourself as being asked!
