Mid Atlantic Chapter News Release
25 Compliance professionals from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter gathered today in Princeton, NJ for a lunch and learn event with Ms. Christine O'Brien, President of the Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ). The ICNJ is a non-profit, insurance research, information and advocacy organization representing 20 New Jersey licensed property/casualty insurance companies. Ms. O’Brien oversees the general operations of the organization and serves as primary spokesperson for New Jersey's property-casualty industry.

The Mid-Atlantic chapter was happy to host this successful event to close out the 2016 year in style. Education and networking opportunities abounded for attendees. Christine educated the group on the changing legislative environment in New Jersey and the nation as a result of recent election results. Christine was able to speak to several topics of national significance ranging from Privatization of Flood Insurance, FIO data calls and “drone jacking” to the future of the Affordable Care Act. She was also able to provide an interesting and informative perspective on the state of affairs for insurance carriers operating in New Jersey today, and what the future may hold for them.

Chapter members were treated to a free lunch, opportunities to network and exciting opportunities to sign-up for the planning and development of future chapter events.
