On June 21, 2019, regulators and industry representatives gathered at the Princeton Crowne Plaza in Princeton, NJ for the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Chapter Education Day (E-Day).
Rona Finkelstein’s President Address highlighted several member-centric initiatives that are developing on a national level, including the new AICP blog, webinars on corporate governance and the inner-workings of NAIC. Ms. Finkelstein also encouraged non-members in the audience to become AICP members, and AICP members to become AICP volunteers and leaders!
Our Keynote Speaker, New Jersey Insurance Commissioner, Marlene Caride, set the stage for a full day of examining current and important compliance issues affecting the regulatory environment in our Mid-Atlantic region. The always popular View from the Top commissioner panel did not disappoint. Commissioner Caride and her contemporaries from New Jersey (Commissioner, Robert Asaro-Angelo), Maryland (Associate Commissioner, Robert Baron) and Pennsylvania (Counsel, John Lacek), conducted a lively discussion on key regulatory topics of the day. New this year, following the View from the Top session, regulators participated in an informal Meet & Greet, making themselves available for one-on-one conversations with E-Day attendees.
E-Day 2019 was a great success thanks to all our speakers, sponsors, guests, and above all…our dedicated MAC volunteers who helped pull it all together! We hope to see you at E-Day 2020!
